Anchors Sign for 1M-SF Mall

WESTLAKE, TX-The long-awaited news will bring a fourth-quarter start to the Shops at Circle T Ranch, a 130-acre retail resort with General Growth Properties and Hillwood at the helm. Dillard's and Foley's sign their leases while talks continue with AMC Theaters.

WESTLAKE, TX-General Growth Properties Inc. is ready to push out a one-million-sf mall, signing anchors for a long-awaited undertaking to bring the first large assembly of retail to the rooftops of Northeast Tarrant County. The Shops at Circle T Ranch will break ground in the fourth quarter, with delivery anticipated in 2006.

Additional details will follow tomorrow, but the news of today is that Dillard’s and Foley’s are on board while talks proceed with AMC Theaters to anchor the entertainment line-up. The 130-acre proposal is designed as the focal point to a 2,500-acre master-planned development by Hillwood, whose founder Ross Perot Jr. has been on a journey for years to make the deal happen at the right place and the right time.
