"This collaboration is a natural extension of the ongoing relationship between IFMA and EuroFM," David J. Brady, president and CEO of Houston-based IFMA, said in a press release. "It is also consistent with a number of recent agreements between facilities management organizations worldwide that are enhancing the focus on this important and growing profession."

EuroFM chairman Lionel Prodgers says the alignment has been 18 months in the making as the two worked out the right formula for the collaboration to produce a single, significant annual event. EuroFM is a network of 60 facility management-focused organizations. IFMA has 17,000 members in 125 chapters in 54 countries.

The 2005 European Facility Management Conference is set for April 19-21 at Frankfurt am Main. It is designed as the first in a series, combining IFMA's World Workplace Europe event with EuroFM's annual gathering.
