Christopher A. Curley, vice president of GVA Thompson Doyle Hennessey & Stevens, represented Management Technology in the transaction, while Amy Perlman of CB Richard Ellis represented property owner, the Gutierrez Co. Lease rates for this deal were not available, but the average asking rent for office space in the area is nearly $19 per sf.

Management Technology recently acquired a division of ACS Defense and was looking to relocate the core group of the division into new offices on Route 128 near Hanscom Airport. Roger Goudreau, senior vice president of Management Technology's Command Control Systems, says the company toured multiple facilities before deciding on this location.

Burlington still has a lot of options to choose from. According to Trammell Crow Co.'s most recent statistics, the area has an overall availability rate of nearly 40%, of which only about 4% is available sublease space. As of this past April, Burlington had a negative absorption of 28, 412 sf.
