NEW YORK CITY-Studley has the assignment to find a new home for the American Red Cross in Greater New York who agreed to sell its 164,175-sf headquarters at 150 Amsterdam to 150 Amsterdam Avenue Holdings in a $72-million transaction. The Red Cross, which has the sole tenant at the five-floor site since building it in 1963, plans to occupy a new space in late 2005.

According to a spokesperson, the Red Cross is evaluating all options, including leasing or buying, and is exploring various Manhattan neighborhoods—-not just the West Side. The spokesperson tells GlobeSt.com that major considerations include the need for additional classroom space and upgraded technology.
