Paul's Pizza Shop, Hollywood Entertainment Corp. and Washington Mutual have each signed deals totaling 12,450 sf. Tomball Town Center is situated on approximately 20 acres at the intersection of Texas State Highway 249 and FM 2920. According to David Meyers, internal representative for the project's developer, NewQuest Properties of Houston, asking rents at the project are $22 per sf to $24 per sf.
Paul's Pizza Shop signed a 10-year lease for 2,850 sf at the center. Meyers and Eric Walker, also with NewQuest, were the only brokers involved in the deal. Hollywood Entertainment Corp. signed a 10-year lease for a 6,100-sf Hollywood Video, with Jeff Scarborough, of Houston's Scarborough Real Estate, representing the company in the lease negotiations. In addition, Washington Mutual made a five-year commitment for a 3,500-sf location. Lance Gilliam, partner and senior vice president with the Houston office of Moody Rambin Interests brokered the deal for WaMu.
Meyers tells GlobeSt.com that the 80,000-sf Kroger store is scheduled to open this October. Tenants in the project's 66,248 sf of inline space, including Sprint PCS, Cold Stone Creamery, the UPS Store and Taco Cabana, will open on roughly the same schedule, he adds.
