Appointed to the firm's board of directors were William W. Anderson, market sector leader for the residential land development group; and William J. Burris, chief financial officer.

The four new owners named were Kirt M. Andersen, residential project manager; Matthew C. Bissett, field services team leader; Glenn S. Burkhardt, water and wastewater design/build market sector leader; and Vincent P. DePorre, director of regional operations.

"Atwell-Hicks recognizes the need to empower both the rising stars in the company, like Kirt and Matt, as well as senior-level specialists, to ensure dynamic leadership and growth long into our second century," says Terry Simpson, director of corporate development for Atwell-Hicks.

Burkhardt recently joined Atwell-Hicks with the company's decision to enter a new market sector and create a water and wastewater design/build division.

"Glenn is an amazing resource for the firm and our clients, with over 30 experience in the design/build and engineering of water supply and treatment facilities," Simpson says.

Before joining Atwell-Hicks, Burkhardt was chief operating officer of Tetra Tech, Inc., previously serving as president of Ann Arbor-based McNamee, Porter & Seeley. He specializes in the design and implementation of water and wastewater systems for development clients.
