LONDON-Benchmark and JER Partners have let almost 35,000 sf of office space, at 90 Long Acre office building in Covent Garden, one of the most prominent office buildings in London’s Midtown.Patent lawyer Marks & Clerk has taken the entire 28,584 sf third floor of 90 Long Acre on a 10-year lease. It will pay £35 ($64) per sf in rent. And General Motors subsidiary GMAC-RFC has taken 9,183 sf on the second floor on similar terms. According to Benchmark Chief Executive Nigel Kempner, the deal bodes well for the revival of the Midtown market. “These lettings show early signs of the Covent Garden office market beginning to improve,” he said.CB Richard Ellis and Nelson Bakewell are letting agents.
