Paul's Pizza Shop signed a 10-year lease for 3,320 sf, eyeing an August opening. Bob Conwell with NewQuest Properties of Houston, the center's owner, single-handedly brokered the pact while working a deal to place the Philly Connection into 1,535 sf of inline space. The sandwich shop franchisee, penning a five-year lease, was represented by Mabry Campbell of Orr Commercial of Houston.
The 247,000-sf center is located at the intersection of FM 2920 and Kuykendahl Road, right across the street from a 60,000-sf NewQuest-owned property. Supercuts will open in September in 1,400 sf, signing a five-year lease as a result of bargaining between Conwell and Josh Jacobs with Page Partners in Houston. The going rate for retail space in Houston averages $19.44 per sf, according to a recent report by Grubb & Ellis Co.
