The developer, Helge LLC, is an affiliate of Viking Development, which also developed the adjacent 130,000-sf Home Depot Store. Home Depot Plaza is located at Exit 5 on Route 3 on a seven-acre parcel. The development consists of three separate buildings designed by Carter-Burgess and built by Bowdoin Construction. Tenants include Ethan Allen, Compass Bank, the Pizza Factory, Dillinger's restaurant, Golf Etc, the UPS Store, AAA, Pilgrim Wine & Spirits, Cingular Wireless and West Marine.

Fantini & Gorga managing director Casimir Groblewski notes that the plaza meets the needs of what he calls a "fast-growing community." He adds that the lender, a major life insurance company, responded with an "excellent" loan structure, including an interest rate that was locked at the time the loan application was signed. "All parties worked diligently to meet a closing date that was predicated upon completion of the Ethan Allen building and several other tenants opening for business," explains Groblewski.
