WELLESLEY, MA-F. Diehl & Son, a locally based development company, is merging with affiliates of Eastern Development, LLC, a Woburn-based real estate development firm. F. Diehl & Son, which is owned by the Murphy family, also owns a 24-acre parcel in the center of the Downtown.

Sarah Murphy, the former president of F. Diehl & Son, notes that Eastern Development “recognizes the priority of this site to the town of Wellesley and its residents.” Tom Maher, a principal of Eastern Development, did not return calls by deadline, but in a released statement says that his firm is looking forward to working closely with the town as it develops its vision for the property.
