"I'd been working with him for a few years. He was just looking for the right opportunity," Greg Dodge, a senior associate at Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial in Phoenix, tells GlobeSt.com. Gorman Roofing closed the deal below the $599,472 ask with the Phoenix-based seller. Robert L. and Katherine O. Martiny Family Revocable Living Trust of Phoenix.
Located at 2229 E. University Dr., the 1979-constructed building sits on a 25,525-sf parcel with a sizeable parking area and more than 5,000-sf of office space. Gorman is moving from its former rental site at 1930 W. Durango St.
The extra room will enable future expansion for Gorman, says Dodge, and the proximity to I-17 adds quick access to the property. Other amenities include 13-foot ceilings and two grade docks. Dodge represented Gorman in the transaction and Jeff Adams of NAI Horizon negotiated the deal on behalf of the seller.
