Hebrew Rehab's plan reportedly involves a 240-bed long-term care facility, a 60-unit assisted-living facility and 350 units of supportive housing. It also includes a building for the Rashi School, for up to 450 students plus a preschool. Cusack says that if the zoning approval is not passed in the special election, Hebrew Rehab can still build but its plans would have to change to conform to the old laws.
Hebrew Rehab is buying the property from Peter C. Chick. The institution owns a facility in Roslindale as well as in Canton, Randolph, Revere and Brookline.
