Revitalized Shopping Center Secures 40,000 SF in New Leases

WESTMINSTER, MD-Westminster Crossing, the 225,000-sf retail destination known as Englar Shopping Center until late last year, has opened its doors to two new tenants. Old Navy clothing store and Michaels, the popular arts and crafts shop, have committed to a total of approximately 40,000 sf of space at the property. The two stores follow a list of big-name retailers that have signed on at Westminster Crossing since owner Greenberg Commercial announced last November that it would begin a $15 million makeover.

Located at Rte. 10 and Englar Rd., Westminster Crossing features anchor tenants SuperFresh grocery store and CVS Pharmacy, as well as other more recent occupants including Bed, Bath & Beyond, Marshall’s and Office Depot. The property, which is scheduled to emerge from its makeover this November, is now 80% occupied. Old navy will open its nearly 15,000-sf store this fall, and Michaels will make its debut between the fall and next spring.
