Book Broker Acquires its Own Distribution Center

COLUMBIA, MD-SuperBookDeals, a leading global bargain bookseller, has decided to forego leasing its warehouse space by acquiring its own distribution center. The company will nearly triple its local 8,400-sf headquarters space with the $2.2 million purchase of a 23,000-sf property at 9002 Branch Rd. The building is just a few doors down from the company’s former home at 9051 Branch Rd.

Developed in 1973, SuperBookDeals’ new locale occupies a 1.5-acre parcel off Rte. 108, and is currently assessed at a value of about $1 million. The seller, Martin Himeles Trust, relied on RF&S Real Estate for representation, while Manekin LLC stood in for the buyer.
