* Konstar, LLC of Auburn Hills: $36,011,250.

* Real Estate Interests Group, Inc. of Bloomfield Hills: $55 million,

* Rock Construction Company, Inc. of Livonia: $43,560,000.

Unlike previous bidding, in which the state sought a minimum of $65 million, there was no minimum bid requirement in the current solicitation. Twice before, the state rejected bids received under a bid process that carried a minimum.

The 414-acre site is located at Haggerty and Seven Mile Roads and is being sold by the Michigan Department of Management and Budget. The hospital closed several years ago.

The state said it would award the bid based on the following criteria:

* Bid purchase price.

* Examples showing proven ability to work with local units of government in property development, including professional references.

* Land donation of not less than 40 acres to township for public use.

* Experience with projects of similar size and scope.

* Verification of financial wherewithal to complete the transaction.

* Demonstrated ability to expedite due diligence and close on or before Sept. 30, 2004, unless the optional 30-day due diligence extension is requested and granted.

* A list of members of bidder and development team.
