Adam Bickelman, a spokesperson for the agency, tells GlobeSt.com that the 560,000-sf building consists of office space as well as 75 residential units. A lottery was held to sell 19 of the units, which are affordable and they all sold. Of the office space, the state is leasing 286,308 sf and the American Student Assistance is leasing 140,000 sf. More recently, Barron & Stadfeld PC leased 13,700 sf, while Rogers Law Firm PC leased 7,000 sf.

Bickelman says that the building has four floors left to fill, but 9,000 sf, or about a half a floor, is currently under agreement. Bickelman notes that he could not reveal the tenant until the deal is closed.

"Given the fact that the office rental market is pretty weak, we feel this is a pretty positive story," points out Bickelman. He adds that MassDevelopment is looking for a retail tenant for the bottom floor but he says, we are "sure it will be leased soon."
