MassDevelopment Leases Up 85% of Saltonstall Building

BOSTON-MassDevelopment has managed to lease up nearly 85% of the 22-story Leverett A. Saltonstall building at 100 Cambridge St. MassDevelopment, a quasi-public economic development authority, was chosen through a competitive process to manage the construction and renovations to the former state building.

Adam Bickelman, a spokesperson for the agency, tells GlobeSt.com that the 560,000-sf building consists of office space as well as 75 residential units. A lottery was held to sell 19 of the units, which are affordable and they all sold. Of the office space, the state is leasing 286,308 sf and the American Student Assistance is leasing 140,000 sf. More recently, Barron & Stadfeld PC leased 13,700 sf, while Rogers Law Firm PC leased 7,000 sf.
