SUGAR LAND, TX-Tramontina USA Inc., one of Sugar Land’s top employers, is under construction on a 298,000-sf manufacturing plant to complement 800,000 sf of leased and owned space in Fort Bend County. The building’s projected cost is $20 million to $25 million.

Until now, Tramontina had only headquarters and distribution space in the region, both on a 26-acre tract at 12955 W. Airport Blvd. in the Sugar Land Business Park. A fast-tracked construction schedule will bring the plant on line in the fall on the same tract.EE Reed Construction LP of Sugar Land is the general contractor. Powers Brown Architecture of Houston designed it.
