Comcast SportsNet Signs Deal at 350 N. Orleans

CHICAGO-The 24-hour sports network that debuts in October signs a 40,000-lease with Vornado Realty Trust's Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. for space at 350 N. Orleans St., which recently landed the Chicago Sun-Times.

CHICAGO-The Chicago Sun-Times is not the only media outlet moving to 350 N. Orleans St. Joining the 14th largest daily newspaper in the US later this year will be Comcast SportsNet Chicago, a 24-hour sports network that debuts in October and has signed a 40,000-sf lease with Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc., a division of Paramus, NJ-based Vornado Realty Trust.

Comcast SportsNet Chicago will carry White Sox, Cubs, Bulls and Blackhawks games, picking up coverage now handled by a current tenant of 350 N. Orleans St., Fox Sports Net Chicago. The regional sports network already is operating in temporary space at 350 N. Orleans St., with a studio operating in Oak Brook. Renovations to the 40,000 sf are expected to be complete by April, when all SportsNet Chicago offices, studios and technical facilities will move to 350 N. Orleans St.
