Mark H. Wood with the Houston office of Dallas-based Henry S. Miller Commercial tells GlobeSt.com that the search for the right site lasted 2.5 years. Wood, who handled last year's lease for the Angolan consulate, says the decision was down to two office buildings. The Park Towers at 1333 W. Loop South had the right image in an area with a high concentration of consulates and the right price. Building owner TPMC Realty Corp. put an aggressive package on the table, he says. The Russian Federation signed a five-year lease in a twin-building office complex with a rent hovering $21 per sf. The Russian consul has sights set on the city's energy firms to help obtain employees' visas.
