Foundation Expands to 9,300 SF

BOSTON-The Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making signed a 9,300-sf lease expansion for office space at 40 Court St., a 115,000-sf office building located in the financial district. The building is owned and managed by Paradigm Properties LLC, a locally based real estate investment and management firm. The Foundation, which helps patients select among treatment options, increased its space on the second floor of the property by 4,370 sf. The new lease term is four years.

The 12-story building is situated at the intersection of Court, Tremont and Cambridge streets, directly across from Government Center. The property, which was built in 1914 and recently underwent a $2.5 million renovation, is nearly fully leased. Among its tenants are Citizens Bank, GEOS New York Corp., HNTB, Law Offices of Brett Levy and Property Portfolio & Research. Lease rates for this deal were not available, but the average asking rent for space in the building is approximately $25 per sf.
