The store will open in September. David Meyers with Houston's NewQuest Properties tells GlobeSt.com that the location was selected because of the fast-growing residential population in the master-planned communities of Cole's Crossing and Fairfield.

Meyers crafted the deal on behalf of Palais Royal. Charlie Christ of Page Partners in Houston negotiated for Crosswell Properties, the local owner of the 300,000-sf shopping center at the intersection of US Highway 290 and Spring Cypress Road. Anchored by Home Depot and a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Cypress Mill Plaza has a rental quote of $22 per sf to $24 per sf.

The Palais Royal brand has 49 stores in Texas, of which 18 are in the Houston area. The parent, Stage Stores, has four brands with 520 locations nationwide.
