ANN ARBOR, MI-The planning commission is green-lighting a plan to transform a former manufacturing plant into 60 condominiums and 19,000 sf of commercial space. The city has approved developers’ plans to demolish a three-story section of the former Eaton facility with a five-story building on the Downtown site.

Chicago-based Morningside Equities Group plans to develop the First & William Lofts on the 130,000-sf former Eaton Corp. factory on the western edge of Downtown. Eaton plans to cease production at the factory by the end of July, leaving only the engineering staff until a technical center in Pittsfield Township is ready for occupancy.
