"The TI work is done and the building is ready to go. They're basically moving and expanding their operations," Jerry Jacobs, a senior director at Cushman & Wakefield of Arizona Inc. in Phoenix, says. The inbound tenant is Geotechnical & Environmental Consultants Inc., which signed the deal for 2801 S. 35th St. with LaSalle Co. of Phoenix.
Jacobs says LaSalle met with the prospective tenant and liked the potential use for the building. GEC provides engineering and geological consulting services, specializing in environmental remediation, geotechnical investigation and intricate materials testing. GEC will relocate from 1900 W. Broadway Rd. in Tempe.
Jacobs and C&W's Rob Stephens handled talks for the tenant. Ken Elmer of Scottsdale-based EBS & Associates represented GEC.
