Real Estate Association Forms S. Florida Chapter

MIAMI-The Association of Young Real Estate Professionals has formed a South Florida chapter.Louis Archambault, an associate with Pathman Lewis who focuses on real estate, land use and zoning, and corporate law; Lori Adams, assistant vice president of Fidelity National Title Insurance Co.; and Jennifer Corbo, a real estate paralegal with Holland and Knight LLP, formed the chapter. Adams is president of the chapter, Louis Archambault is vice president, Corbo is secretary, and Christina Lunsford of Gibraltar Bank is treasurer. The association provides mentoring and networking for young real estate professionals in the South Florida market. Adams says the association plans to sponsor seminars, roundtable discussions, and meetings with featured speakers “In South Florida, where real estate is clearly a dominant industry, such an organization is vital,” Archambault adds in a statement. “The initial positive response we have received proves that this group fills a need.”The majority of the chapter’s members are expected to be less than 40 years old, but the association does not plan to place an age limitation for membership. So far, the association has attracted professionals in several related industries, such as investment, law, development, brokerage, banking, risk management and engineering.The first association chapter was founded in 2001 in Atlanta. The organization has six chapters nationwide, including in Washington, DC, Boston and Los Angeles, and is looking at creating a national organization.
