Land Purchase Paves Way for Walgreens

HENRICO COUNTY-A nearly two-acre parcel of land trades hands in a deal between seller Exxon Mobil Corp. and buyer Brook Road Realty LLC, an entity managed by Mid-Atlantic Commercial Properties. Real estate services firm Advantis/GVA orchestrated the acquisition, which paves the way for the development of a 15,000-sf Walgreens drugstore on the site.

“This site is a good choice as it will give Walgreens great visibility and exposure along Brook Rd. as well as easy access for shoppers to get in and out quickly for their drugstore needs,” says Advantis’s Charles Warner. Warner and colleague Kimberly Bisger oversaw the purchase. Located on a corner parcel at US Rte. 1 and Virginia Center Parkway, the site is expected to give way to the Walgreens store, with drive-thru, before the end of this November.
