New Lease Leaves Strip Mall 95% Leased

VIRGINIA BEACH-The Lake James Shoppes has welcomed a new tenant to its midst. The Filipino Fighting Arts Academy, making its debut, has decided to take on approximately 1,600 sf of space at the 15,000-sf shopping center. Space at the strip mall leases for $12 per sf, according to Divaris Real Estate Inc., the Virginia Beach-based firm that leases and manages the shopping center on behalf of property owner Chu & Sons Inc. The defense training facility’s new commitment to space brings the Lake James Shoppes’ occupancy level up to approximately 93%.

Located at 5347 Lila Lane in the Kempsville community of Virginia Beach, the Lake James Shoppes is a single-story site that is home to a wide range of tenants, including Maymar International Market, Sunset Title, Lucky Money and Travel Outlet of Virginia.
