15,000-SF Expansion Begins at Burwood

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD-Burwood Village Center is in for further upgrades now that property owner Greenberg Commercial has begun the third phase of expansion at the 116,000-sf shopping center, located near Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. and Furnace Branch Rd. This most recent facet of the revitalization endeavor will add 15,300 sf of in-line retail space. Already, a handful of retailers have signed on for occupancy, leaving only about 5,000 sf available. Among the future tenants in Phase III are two restaurants and a fitness facility.

“We continue to add retail space to Burwood Village Center to satisfy the demand for product in this section of northern Anne Arundel County,” Greenberg vice president David L. Goldbloom explains. “The Linthicum/Ferndale area is an extremely stable community and its residents have responded favorably to our improvements at the project.” Phase IV, which will bring 3,600 sf more to the property, is scheduled to get under way in the fall.
