Accountants Lease Space on Northwest Freeway

HOUSTON-In search of a good deal and larger space, a Houston-based accounting firm has moved seven miles northwest to 2,995-sf on the Northwest Freeway.

HOUSTON-Local accounting firm, Clanton & Co. Inc. PC has just moved about seven miles northwest from its digs at 730 North Post Road to 2,995-sf of office space at 13831 Northwest Freeway.Gloria Parrino with Houston’s Betz Commercial Brokerage Inc. represented Clanton & Co. in the lease negotiations. She tells GlobeSt.com that her client expanded its space by nearly 1,200 sf. They looked to the Northwest Freeway for office space, she notes, because it was more central to the firm’s members and more convenient. Additionally, the building owner, One Northwest Centre LLC, offered “a good deal,” she says, but wouldn’t expound on the terms of the lease.Clanton & Co. has a five-year commitment to the six-story, 150,465-sf office structure. Monte Calvert with the Houston office of Transwestern Commercial Services Inc. represented the building owner. Asking rates for the property run between $17.50 per sf and $18 per sf. Other tenants in the class B, suburban office building include Barone Design Group, Darling Homes and Novalog Inc.
