Grocery Distributor Inks SW Submarket Lease

PHOENIX-A Denver-based distributor of groceries andgrocery-related products has inked a seven-year lease wortha little more than $1.3 million for 72,158 sf inSouthwest Phoenix. Freeway access is especiallyattractive to the new tenant.”Southwest Phoenix is a highly competitive market,” Bo Mills, avice president with Trammell Crow Co. in Phoenix,tells GlobeSt.com. “This building just had two tenants vacate. Within three months we had it leased back up.” Newflower Market Inc. signed the deal with buildingowner CLPF-West Business Center of Dallas. With anumber of retail locations already operating in andaround Phoenix, the new distribution center willadditionally serve sites in Tucson and New Mexico,says Mills. Located at 4703 West Brill St., the three-tenantdistribution center consists of 147,000 sf of rentablespace. Newflower joins Great Crates Storage and RugbyBuilding Products Inc., a distributor of buildingmaterials. Mills and Mark Detmer of Trammell Crow Co. represented the owner, while Bill Bayless of CB Richard Ellis’Phoenix office represented the tenant in the lease negotiation.
