The initiative will continue to significantly add to the company's current Oakland County presence of 12 locations. "Our Novi Centre facility houses commercial banking, mortgage banking, wealth management, and commercial real estate lending, as well as a new temporary branch," says Thomas C. Shafer, Citizens Bank's regional president for Southeast Michigan.
Shafer says a stand-alone bank branch will be constructed on a contiguous property at 12 Mile Road and the M5 expressway. Citizens Banking Corp. is the second-largest bank holding company headquartered in Michigan, with assets of $7.69 billion as of March 31.
