Standard Southern Corp. moved into 4635 Southwest Freeway, about two miles east of its vacated address at 4211 Southwest Freeway. The deal's only broker, John Hornbuckle with Cypressbrook Co. in the Woodlands, tells GlobeSt.com that the trucking company shaved about 1,000 sf in the move to 10-story, 306,208-sf building, owned by EP Office Holdings LP of Houston. The building's quoted rent is $15.50 per sf.
Hornbuckle says the building's occupancy was resting at 84% earlier this year, but recent move-outs cut it to 80%. The office building, mostly occupied by smaller office tenants, has B. Spencer & Associates and Starkley & Co., an engineering firm and accountant, respectively, as its leads.
