MGE Architects To Design Rehab Hospital

HIALEAH GARDENS, FL-Catholic Health Services has hired MGE Architects to design the planned St. Catherine’s-West Rehabilitation Hospital here.The 40-bed comprehensive medical rehabilitation hospital will contain beds relocated from the North Miami St. Catherine’s Hospital to better serve that area. Hospital plans call for an aquatic center, transitional suites, private rooms, specialty outpatient rehab clinics and medical offices for staff doctors. Also, the hospital will have physician-staffed specialty clinics and treatment programs for patients with neurological, neuromuscular and orthopedic disabilities. The new facility is scheduled to break ground in fall 2005.MGE Architects, based in Coral Gables, FL, has focused on designing healthcare facilities for more than 22 years. The firm’s current and recent projects include the Lois Pope LIFE Center at the University of Miami, the Diagnostic and Treatment Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and Concourse J at Miami International Airport.
