Bookstore Commits to 30,000 SF at Redeveloped Property

HUNT VALLEY, MD-Another tenant commits to the Hunt Valley Towne Centre, the reincarnation of the former Hunt Valley Mall that will reach completion at 860,000 sf sometime next year. The books, gifts and greeting cards store Greetings & Readings has signed on to occupy 30,000 sf of space at the redeveloped property, which is owned by Greenberg Commercial Corp. A Greenberg leasing agent would not discuss rates; however space at neighborhood service centers in Suburban Baltimore areas such as Hunt Valley goes for an average of $22 per sf.

Greenberg Commercial is in the middle of its reinvention process, and has managed to line up a series of big tenants for the finished project, including a 130,000-sf Wegman’s Food Market store. For Greetings & Readings, the new address will make the 35-year-old business a chain; the original store is in Towson, MD.
