The property was a natural expansion for Merrimack Education, which already has a presence on 84 Brick Kiln Rd. The two-story facility at 80 Brick Kiln Rd. was built in 1990 and is located approximately one mile from Route 3.
Micah Stubblebine of the Stubblebine Co. represented the North East Data Processing and procured Merrimack Education--a program that provides professional development, school building assistance and technology services--in the transaction.
The deal is the latest in a series of transactions with these types of properties and typifies a recent trend in which users decide to purchase rather than lease their space. Most industry analysts attribute the trend to the continuing low interest rates.
