L.J. Melody & Co., a national real estate investment banking firm, arranged the permanent financing on behalf of the owner of the hotel. Murray Kornberg and Douglas Seylar of L. J. Melody's Minneapolis office worked on the deal.
The hotel was built in 1964. Renovations in 1992-93 earned the hotel Lodging Magazine's "Renovation of the Year" award in 1994. The hotel also offers dining, banquet and catering services from the attached 6,000 sf Green Mill restaurant.
L.J. Melody & Company, a CB Richard Ellis company, arranged more than $11 billion in commercial real estate transactions last year. The firm is headquartered in Houston, Texas and operates offices in 31 major metropolitan markets.
