Champion Enterprises Selects New Chief

AUBURN HILLS, MI-William C. Griffiths joins the manufactured home producer next month from the fluid systems division of Charlotte, NC-based technical products provider SPX Corp. He replaces interim boss Albert A. Koch of Southfield consulting firm AlixPartners LLC.

AUBURN HILLS, MI-Manufactured home producer Champion Enterprises Inc. has appointed William C. Griffiths president and chief executive officer, replacing the man hired to lead the company’s turnaround efforts. Champion also said it expects to report a profitable second quarter when results are announced July 23.

Griffiths, 52, who most recently served as president of the fluid systems division of Charlotte, NC-based technical products provider SPX Corp., plans to join Auburn Hills-based Champion Aug. 1. “Having successfully weathered a difficult downturn, Champion is well-positioned to benefit as the industry continues to improve,” Griffiths says.
