"Our new distribution center in Inver Grove Heights will provide us with greater efficiencies in distribution management along with scalability for continued growth over the next few years," says Christopher Brown, chief executive officer of SimonDelivers. An initial staffing plan of 50 employees will manage the cross-dock, loading and distribution of the 35 delivery trucks. Total capacity for this location can accommodate more than 70 vehicles at peak operations.

The five-year-old internet-based service is the largest home grocery delivery service in the Twin Cities, providing delivery to the seven-county metropolitan area plus Rochester, St. Cloud and Brainerd. Besides grocery items, SimonDeliver.com also delivers general merchandise, fresh meat, produce, deli and seafood, national and local brands, as well as a Wine & Spirits Shop.
