Terra ADI International Hires Senior VP of Construction

MIAMI-Terra ADI International, a South Florida real estate developer based here, hired Gary L. Ferguson as senior vice president of construction. In his new post, he will be responsible for all pre-construction planning, budgeting, scheduling and contracting for the company. Ferguson will oversee projects such as Metropolis at Dadeland and Quantum on the Bay.Ferguson has 30 years experience in commercial and residential real estate development. Most recently, he was vice president for JT Vaughn Construction Co. in Houston. Previously, he was vice president and general manager for Turner Construction Co.’s Southwest region, a company with annual volume of more than $7 billion. Ferguson guided Turner’s operations in five states: Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, in addition to parts of northern Mexico.His main projects with Turner included Houston’s $58-million Methodist Community Healthcare Center and an $18-million expansion of St. Joseph Hospital’s surgical center Downtown. In Little Rock, he oversaw construction of the $87-million, multi-purpose AllTel Arena and several mid-rise office buildings in the Dallas area. Other projects include the $233-million development of Houston’s 72-story Wells Fargo Bank Building and the restoration of the historic Christ Church Cathedral, built in 1893.Terra ADI International, formed in 2001, focuses on multifamily, high-rise development in urban core neighborhoods. Its first project was Nautica on South Beach.
