Birru To Outline Vision for Development Group

DETROIT-Leaders of the Wayne County and state economic development agencies will be speaking at an August luncheon. Among them are newly appointed director Mulugetta Birru of the Greater Wayne County Economic Development Corp.

DETROIT-The top economic development directors from the state and Wayne County will be the featured speakers at an upcoming meeting of the Detroit Regional Economic Partnership. The partnership’s annual meeting will feature Donald E. Jakeway, president and chief executive officer of the Michigan Economic Development Corp., and newly appointed director Mulugetta Birru of the Greater Wayne County Economic Development Corp.

Birru will share his vision for the newly created Wayne County group. He just officially began his work with Wayne County, after spending the past 12 years in similar positions in Pittsburgh. Jakeway will offer his goals for the MEDC for the year ahead.
