GlobeSt.com EXCLUSIVE: Gallagher Joins C&W

NEW YORK CITY-C&W adds a few industry veterans to its ranks. John Gallagher signs on to improve information sharing and discover opportunities once they come into the pipeline. And Michael Burgio returns to C&W as executive vice president.

NEW YORK CITY-Cushman & Wakefield brings on John Gallagher to serve as director, Brokerage Services for the New York area. He will report directly to Ken Krasnow, executive managing director of Cushman’s New York offices, in the newly created position.

Krasnow tells GlobeSt.com Gallagher will “mine the data fields that are going on.” He will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating brokerage resources for business development opportunities. “We’re going to have more proactive management.” Krasnow says that Gallagher’s hiring is part of strategy that has been percolating for awhile. The brokers have been undergoing a technological training process over the past 12 to 18 months to acclimate them with a tracking system to put contacts into a “pipeline.” Krasnow has been overseeing the efforts until now, but feels with the addition of Gallagher, the response will be more immediate and opportunistic.

A key aspects of John’s role will be to establish requirements for several professional groups including research, brokerage, strategic agency services and marketing, to improve information sharing and create greater efficiency in offering business-development resources to all. He will also assist in coordinating training for associate-level brokers as well as in the recruitment process.
