800,000-SF Visteon Village Office Campus Opens

VAN BUREN TWP., MI–Visteon Corp. has opened its 800,000-sf corporate offices, allowing consolidation of some 13 other sites into one 265-acre site. The village currently has nine buildings and a central building called Village Center that overlooks a 37-acre lake.

VAN BUREN TWP, MI-Visteon Corp. has begun moving employees into Visteon Village, its new, 800,000-sf corporate offices and innovation center in the township, according to company officials. The village, on a 265-acre site, is approximately 25 miles west of Detroit, and is two miles north of the I-275 and I-94 interchange, bounded by I-275 on the west, Ecorse Road on the north and Tyler Road on the south.

The village currently has nine buildings and a central building called Village Center that overlooks a 37-acre lake. Company officials say the village will allow the company to consolidate employees and services from 13 Southeast Michigan facilities, providing the company with a cost savings and enhanced product innovation. The initial move will bring 3,200 employees to the village, officials say.

Officials say the nine Village buildings will house business groups, product line teams, innovation and advanced business development, global program management, aftermarket, information technology, corporate relations, finance, marketing, testing, a design center and labs. The new corporate offices also include six dedicated customer innovation centers, as well as three product innovation centers.
