Parcel three has approximately 250 feet of water frontage and is available for immediate use, while parcel four will be available in early 2005. The Authority says that potential uses for the sites include seafood processing, cold storage, ice production, distribution for vessels and other industry users, commercial fishing and vessel support.

The properties are located at the western end of the Massachusetts Marine Terminal in a nearly 10-acre area designated as a seafood-processing district within the Marine Industrial Park, near the Boston Fish Pier. The MPA has been actively looking to develop the district. Two new buildings dedicated to seafood-processing operations have recently been constructed in the area.
