Ritter most recently served as associate editor at the International Council of Shopping Centers' monthly magazine, Shopping Centers Today, where he was responsible for feature stories as well as investigative reporting. Ritter was also editor of ICSC's SCTxtra, a weekly online newsletter. During his career, Ritter also served as a staff writer for the Puget Sound Business Journal and the Everett Tribune in Washington State. In addition, he was a freelance reporter for the Chicago Tribune's Northwest Metro edition.
