FLINT, MI-GM says it will invest $60 million in the Flint Metal Center. According to Jim Wiemels, GM vice president and general manager of the metal fabricating division, the investment includes two new blanking systems, several weld assembly systems, tools for future products and related equipment.

“This investment recognizes the contributions of the men and women at the Flint Metal Center,” Wiemels says. “Employees at Flint have demonstrated that they will help us get a good return on the investment.”
