Fitness Center Takes 15,000 SF at San Souci

CALIFORNIA, MD-The 247,000-sf San Souci Plaza in St. Mary’s County has welcomed a new tenant to its midst with Maximum Health and Fitness’s recent signing of a lease for 15,600 sf of space at the strip retail property. Located at the intersection of MD Rte. 235 and MacArthur Blvd. near the Naval Air Station, San Souci sits in a high-traffic area in the St. Mary’s retail corridor, which serves the growing populations of both St. Mary’s County and neighboring Calvert County.

Specific terms of the exercise facility’s lease with property owner Mount Vernon Village Center have not been disclosed. However, Divaris Real Estate Inc. markets space at San Souci–which is anchored by Shoppers Food Warehouse, JoAnn Fabrics and Fashion Bug–for $12 to $18 per sf. Divaris Real Estate’s Divaris Property Management Corp. oversees management of the shopping center.
