Developer Proposes 52,724-SF Retail Project

REVERE, MA-Channel Building Co. wants to build the project in Mahoney Circle, a major intersection for local and regional traffic. The area, known as Bell Circle, is being revitalized with the addition of a new Comfort Inn, a Fleet bank branch and road improvements.

REVERE, MA-A developer proposed building a retail project in Mahoney Circle by the intersection of Routes 1A and 60. The area, known as Bell Circle, is a major intersection for local and regional traffic and has recently begun to be revitalized.

Frank Stringi of the town’s planning department, tells GlobeSt.com that Wilmington-based Channel Building Co. made a formal proposal to Revere’s city council. The project, which involves four retail stores and restaurant for a total of 52,724 sf, requires a special permit because the zoning doesn’t allow for retail development.
