Opus Forms Military Development Unit

MINNEAPOLIS-Julie Kimble, a vice president of Opus Group, is appointed vice president of Opus Military Communities, a new enterprise of the Opus Group that will develop, own and manage military communities on bases throughout the US in response to Department of Defense privatization trend.

MINNEAPOLIS-Julie Kimble, a vice president of Opus Group, has been appointed vice president of Opus Military Communities, a new enterprise that will develop, own and manage military communities on bases throughout the US. As head of Opus Military Communities, which is a new business unit of the Opus Group of companies, Kimble’s responsibilities will lead the development of this new business nationally.

The new enterprise is in response to an extensive military housing privatization program initiated by the US Department of Defense. Kimble has more than 20 years experience in real estate development and she has been with Opus since 1994. Prior to her new position, Kimble had primary development responsibility for national clients and managed real estate development projects on a national basis. During her tenure with Opus, she has completed in excess of six million sf of build-to-suit development for national clients. She also led the national business development team and had responsibility for a number of special projects in the US and Canada.
