Suburban Maryland Retail Sites Prove to be Hot Properties

TOWSON, MD-With the assistance of the Towson office of KLNB Retail, Elysian Partners finds new owners for three of its grocery-anchored shopping centers. Accounting for a total of total of 242,000 sf, the retail properties brought in a sum of $34.5 million.

“Historically low interest rates and a dearth of available properties for sale, continue to fuel this seller’s market in the Maryland/Virginia/Pennsylvania/Delaware market,” KLNB’s Kevin Barrett says. “Grocery-anchored retail centers are the most sought-after commodity, and buyers are receiving excellent value for projects that are well-positioned and substantially leased,” He said the firm is fielding numerous offers for available retail projects, and there are more buyers than sellers currently.
