The school--which will cost an estimated $25 million to complete--is being developed as a public/private endeavor involving the Falls Church Public School Board, the City of Falls Church and Clark Real Estate Advisors. Clark Construction Group LLC is the general contractor on the project, which is being designed by Springfield, VA-based BerryRio Architecture + Interiors.

When all is said and done, the new George Mason Middle School facility will feature--in addition to the requisite classrooms--a cafeteria that can be ransomed into an auditorium, a gym, art lab, library and science and computer rooms. The building is on target to open its doors in the fall of next year.
